How IT Works:
VE Optics 3D photogrammetry system is used to measure the spatial geometric dimension and static deformation of large work pieces and products, production equipment, test facilities and other objects. As a non-contact measurement method, VE Optics photogrammetry has many excellent characteristics, such as high precision, fast speed, ultra-portable and strong environmental adaptability.
VE OPTICS DP
The VE Optics’ DP 3D optical photogrammetry system uses a high-resolution DSLR camera to capture multiple 2D photos from different angles. Based on the principle of industrial close-range photogrammetry, this system collects key measurement points on a surface, feature or array. A 3D coordinate system can be therefore established, and the subsequent key points of interest are displayed in their respective locations. Size of parts that can be measured are .3m to 30m while maintaining a very high level of accuracy. Compared to traditional portable coordinate measurement systems, the VE Optics’ DP Photogrammetry system is not limited by size or shape. It can replace traditional laser trackers, articulated arms, etc. avoiding the cumbersome leap frog or system movements, which is very convenient for large measurement work pieces.
